Masterton District Council

The Masterton District Council buildings are located on Chapel Street, in Masterton. The District Council administers all local services for the greater Masterton area and collects rates to fund public services. These council services encompass a whole range of essential functions from rubbish collection to building consents and waste-water management. The Masterton District Council is responsible for parks and reserves throughout the city.

The Masterton Council is further tasked with promoting economic growth in the region. Building consents for new dwellings are issued by the council under the Resource Management Act.
